In order to get a good ranking in local searches, you should implement a Local SEO marketing strategy. Local SEO is a little different from general SEO, and you should be able to gain insight from a subject matter expert. One of the ways to rank high in local searches is through link building. Link building involves obtaining links from other websites. These links should provide some value to the reader, relate to the content, and flow naturally in the context of the copy.
When optimizing for local search, include a map of your location. The Google algorithm knows that many people are looking for local products and services, so the search results will reflect businesses in the area. For example, a car dealership might mention the town it serves on its “About Us” page, while a blog post on the best Honda deals in Northwestern Montana would feature local content. While Google understands that you might have a great product or service to offer, chances are, you’re not going to sell it if no one sees it in the local search results.
